Warranty
A Quick Guide to Warranties
Investing in a new roof is a major decision for any homeowner or business owner, and the warranty protection that comes with your roof is an important part of this consideration. The main types of warranties are:
- Manufacturer’s Warranty: This type of warranty is provided by the manufacturer of the roofing materials and covers the products you purchase from them.
- Workmanship Warranty: This is the warranty from I&E Construction that covers our installation of your roof.
- Extended Warranty: Some manufacturers offer an extended warranty that covers contractor workmanship as well as expanded coverage for the products. This type of warranty usually has stipulations that require you to have their products installed by a certified installer.
Roofing warranties can seem complicated and confusing, so we want to help you better understand these warranties.
Manufacturers’ and Extended Warranties
As a certified CertainTeed ShingleMaster Roofing Contractor and a GAF Master Commercial Certified contractor, I&E Construction can offer you the full benefit of the warranties from these manufacturers. This means longer and more comprehensive protection on your roof and our workmanship. In addition to receiving the standard limited lifetime warranty on CertainTeed and GAF roofing materials, you will receive additional coverage for wind and algae resistance, along with 20-25 years of workmanship coverage. To make the most of your warranty, be sure to:
- Read and understand the fine print.
- Register your warranty within the specified timeframe.
- Keep records and receipts.
- Adhere to the recommended maintenance guidelines.
- Address issues promptly.
